Scale
- 1/2 C Butter
- 2 1/4 C Light Brown Sugar, packed
- 1 C Corn Syrup
- 1 – 14oz Can of Sweetened Condensed Milk, I use Eagle brand.
- 3 Bags of All Natural Popcorn
Instructions
- Pop all three bags of popcorn, pour popped pop corn in two large bowls. Make sure to remove any unpopped kernels from the bowls.
- Take a medium sized sauce pan and melt the butter over medium-high heat.
- Add Karo syrup and brown sugar and bring to a boil.
- Once mixture is boiling, start a timer for 6 minutes, stirring constantly. Do NOT start timer until the mixture has started to boil.
- After timer is up, remove from heat and add the whole can of sweetened condensed milk and mix well.
- Pour caramel mixture evenly over both bowls of popped popcorn. Using a wooden spoon fold the caramel and popcorn together until the popcorn is evenly coated with caramel.
- Let cool to room temperature and dig in!
Notes
- For these ingredients, the brand really does make a difference. I use Challenge salted butter, C & H light brown sugar, Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk, Karo brand corn syrup and Orville bagged popcorn
