Cinnamon Streusel Swirl Butter Pound Cake: A Perfectly Moist and Flavorful Dessert

For the Cake
- 3 C Flour
- 1 tsp Baking Powder
- 1/2 tsp Baking Soda
- 1 tsp Salt
- 2 C Sugar
- 1 C Butter, softened
- 4 Eggs, room temperature
- 2 Tbsp Vanilla
For the Filling
- 1/2 C flour
- 1/2 C Brown Sugar
- 1 Tbsp Cinnamon
- Pinch of Salt
For the Crumb Topping
- 3/4 C Flour
- 1/2 C Brown Sugar
- 1 Tbsp Cinnamon
- Pinch of Salt
For the Butter Sauce
- 1/2 C Butter, melted
- 1 C Sugar
- 1/4 C Water
- 1 tsp Vanilla
Instructions
- Pre-heat oven to 350°F
- Grease a bundt pan with real butter and dust it with flour, then set aside.
- In a small bowl, combine all of the filling ingredients and mix together with a fork until butter is evenly distributed. Set aside.
- Do the same for the topping mixture.
- In a small bowl sift together flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt and set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine butter (softened) and sugar. Mix for 3 minutes until light and fluffy.
- Add one egg at a time, mixing thoroughly with each addition.
- In a separate liquid measuring bowl combine vanilla and buttermilk, mix and set aside.
- Add about 1/3 of the flour mixture to the sugar mixture and mix until combined, then half of the buttermilk mixture, alternating until each are gone, starting and ending with the flour mixture.
- Scoop half the batter in the prepared Bundt pan, then evenly sprinkle the filling mixture, use ALL of the mixture.
- Pour the remaining batter over the top of the filling, spreading it evenly.
- Top it off with the crumb topping, using all of the topping.
- Place in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, checking at the 50 minute mark by inserting a toothpick, when it comes out clean, cake is finished.
- Remove from oven and start making the butter sauce.
For the Butter Sauce
- In a small sauce pan, over medium heat, melt butter, do not allow it to boil.
- Add water and sugar and cook until sugar is dissolved, about 4 minutes, do not boil.
- Remove from heat and mix in vanilla.
- Evenly pour half of the sauce over the top of the cake and let soak in for 5 minutes.
- Place your serving dish upside down on top of the cake and flip over to transfer the cake.
- Poke holes in the cake with a tooth pick, pour the remaining butter sauce evenly over the cake and ENJOY!
