- 4lbs Beef Roast
- 1 Tbsp Oil
- 12 oz Guinness Beer
- 10.5 oz can of Beef Consume
- 10.5 oz can of Condensed French Onion Soup
- 2 Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
- 2 tsp Black Pepper
- 2 tsp Garlic Salt
- 3 Garlic Cloves, minced
- 8 French Rolls or these homemade French rolls
- 16 Slices of Provolone Cheese
Instructions
- Remove the chuck roast from the packaging and pat dry with a paper towel to remove the excess moisture so the meat browns nicely.
- Using a large fry pan and put the oil in it on the stove top over high heat.
- Evenly sprinkle a thin layer of black pepper and garlic salt over each surface of the chuck roast, rub the seating in into the meat and place it in your prepared fry pan to sear the meat.
- Brown each side of the chuck roast from until golden brown.
- Transfer to the crock pot.
- Add the Guinness beer, beef consume, French onion soup, Worcestershire sauce, black pepper, garlic salt, and garlic cloves.
- Cook on low heat for 8 hours.
- After 8 hours, shred the meat with a fork and allow to soak for a few more minutes while you prepare the rolls.
- Turn oven on to 500°F
- Cut each roll in half lengthwise, butter the rolls, put into the oven and toast for 5 minutes.
- Remove from oven and place two slices of provolone onto each bun and return to oven until cheese is melted.
- Remove from oven and top with some shredded beef and ENJOY!
