Scale
- 4–5 lbs Chuck Roast
- 1 Packet of Hidden Valley Ranch Powder
- 1 Stick of Real Butter, salted
- 10 Pepperoncinis
- Lipton Dry Onion Soup
- Garlic Salt
- Ground Black Pepper
- 2 TBSP Oil (I use Olive oil)
Instructions
- Remove the chuck roast from the packaging and pat dry it with a paper towel to remove excess moisture so the meat browns nicely.
- Take a large fry pan and put the oil in it
- Sprinkle an even layer of garlic salt and black pepper over one side of the dry roast. Using your hand, rub the seasoning into the meat and place it in your prepared fry pan to sear the meat.
- While starting to cook, coat the other sides with the seasoning and rub in. ***Be extremely careful not to burn yourself in this process***
- Sear to brown the meat on all sides, remove from heat and place it in your crock pot.
- Add butter, pepperoncinis, ranch packet, and dry onion soup.
- Place lid on and cook on low for 8 hours.
- After 8 hours you may shred the meat or slice it, serve with mashed potatoes and green beans or asparagus and top with gravy and ENJOY!
