Ground Beef Patty TACOS!

This recipe is easy for follow and perfect for a quick fix to dinner. You can alter it to make it your own with different spices.

  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 15 Tacos 1x

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 lb Lean Ground Beef
  • 15 Yellow Corn Tortilla Shells
  • Sprinkle Seasoning Salt
  • Sprinkle Onion Powder
  • Sprinkle Garlic Powder
  • Sprinkle Garlic Powder
  • Sprinkle Ground Black Pepper
  • 2 1/2 C Canola Oil or vegetable oil
  • Paper Towels
  • 2 C Shredded Lettuce
  • 1 C Mexican Blend Shredded Cheese
  • Hot Sauce of choice

Instructions

  1. Pour oil into a large fry pan and set aside.
  2. Using a cookie sheet, spread a single layer of tortilla shells, so they are not overlapping, I usually fit about 6 shells.
  3. Take about an ounce and a half of ground beef in your hand and press it into half of each taco shell. Do this for all of the shells.
  4. One by one, sprinkle an even layer of seasoning over the ground beef that has already been pressed on the shell. Here you can add as much or as little seasoning as you would like. I do a light layer of each.
  5. Repeat for all the remaining meat prepared taco shells.
  6. Place the fry pan on the stove top on medium heat.
  7. Once hot place the prepared tortilla shell in the oil and allow the shell to soften. Once soft flip the shell in half to form a taco shape.
  8. Allow each side of the shell to crisp and remove from oil and place it on a paper towel lined cookie sheet to cool and allow excess oil to drain.

Notes

  • This recipe makes about 15 tacos but is easily duplicatable. I usually double it for my family to have some left overs. I totally eyeball my seasoning, giving it an even layer of each seasoning.
