Seasoned Skillet Chicken

This skillet chicken is so full of flavor and compliments so many different dishes.  I personally use it in my Chicken Alfredo Bake, cut it up and throw some sauce on it for the BBQ Chicken salad or in by its self with a veggie and a starch like mashed potatoes or rice.  It is so delicious!

  • Total Time: 15 minutes

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2lbs Chicken Breast, cut in half
  • 1 TBSP Garlic Powder
  • 2 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1 TBSP Seasoning Salt
  • 2 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1/4 tsp Cayenne Pepper
  • 3 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Instructions

    1. Combine all the seasonings in a small bowl until evenly mixed.
    2. Filet the chicken breast, so they cook easier.
    3. Evenly distribute the seasoning over the chicken breast with your hands.Heat the olive oil in a large fry pan over medium heat.
    4. Place a single layer of seasoned chicken in the pan and cook about 5 minutes on each
      side.
    5. Chicken is done when the internal temperature is 165°F.
    6. Serve with your favorite dish and ENJOY!

Notes

  • Always cook this skillet chicken in a fry pan, like this one, with olive oil.  There is something about the olive oil and seasonings that makes it taste just perfect and full of flavor.
  • The measurements are just a formality for this recipe, but generally I combine all the seasoning together and rub it into the chicken.
